Coleton Fishacre
Coleton Fishacre  is a simply beautiful rendering of a Lutyens style house, designed by his pupil Oswald Milne for Sir Rupert and Lady Dorothy D’Oyly Carte and built in 1925.
Very pretty gardens surround the house and extend into a woodland garden complete with spectacular cliff-top walk looking out over the ocean. The garden looks down a narrow valley that descends to the sea. A stream with occasional pools planted around with moisture loving herbaceous perennials runs the length of the garden. The sides of the vally are planted with trees, spring-flowering shrubs and tender exotics.
